Heart of the City Stinks

The Hussain Sagar Lake is the Heart of Hyderabad. Come summer and the Lake stinks. This is due to negligence of the Muncipality and unawareness amongst the Citizens about Sanitation and Hygiene. Long polluted, the Lake has been crying to be given fresh breath of Life. Come early morning and the area around the Lake is alive with joggers, morning walkers and fitness seekers; come evening and the Lake plays host to Love Birds; if one hangs around then a Beautiful Sunset awaits you. All those city dwellers who are regular takers of the Lake's services forget about its pangs. None of us wake up and wish to take up the cause of cleaning the Lake. The Lake is also still managing to draw beautiful birds and many rare winter birds to frequent the dying Lake. Wake up All you Citizens of Hyderabad and save this dying Lake. Today it stinks, tomorrow we will.

Just a passing Thought

What a fool am I, to be in a pit filled with snakes and believe that a beautiful lady would lend me a hand and offer me honey water and fruits.

A mouthful of Sky

When did I last look up? What is the price I pay to be in the rat race? At the end of it what do I achieve, a back problem, or hypertension, or something worse - loss of peace of mind. And today when I look up, I feel so peaceful under this roof which no one can snatch away from me. I feel peace at heart on such a wonderful thought. What is the price I pay for a bundle of nothing.

As good as it Gets

Hyderabad 10K

The 10k started off on a great note and lot of rejoicing. There was a note of sadness attached too, of an unpleasant incident that was too dear for all of us to forget in all the revelry, the Mumbai Carnage. This run was thus a tribute to the Spirit of India. It now stood for reasons above & beyond those imagined by the promoters of Good Health & Good Spirit. 10k-Revised thus stood for Unity, Peace & Brotherhood and the Rising of India from Goodness to Greatness. It was a movement in support of all Mumbaikars and their togetherness, for the civilians and forces that lost their lives to some irrational terror causing maniacs. Dear Mumbai keep up that spirit, do not give in and keep giving us the strength and inspiration that ye possess. In the End... All good things sometimes get lost in the run. Such is the case with Hyderabad 10k. The picture depicts the waste produced in a time frame of 2 hours. And this is just a fraction of the waste generated. Good things sometimes tend to get shadowed by unforseen ugliness, losing their shine, thus tainting the larger picture. If only we can correct or rather be cautious in our actions, we will have a better & brighter future.

Hairy Pals

These hairy ones make a great shoot. They make hell of a noise and they are real good at it.

I caught these somewhere in Dalhousie bylanes and they were very happy to meet me.

These two remind me of a character from Tintin. Now who can tell which one. Where are all the Tintin fans.

Bugged

This is one great find. I've seen plenty of Lady Birds, but first time I saw them hanging around in groups. Thats a new behaviour. For me thats a very good pic. Any comments.
